What is the significance of Ramadan in Islam?
Answer: Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. During this month, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset as an act of worship and obedience to God, as well as a means to practice self-discipline, increase piety, and empathize with the less fortunate. It is also believed that the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad during Ramadan.
